DIGIVESTASI - Bitcoin has the potential to soar up to $250,000 by the end of 2025, according to Tom Lee, Head of Research at Fundstrat Global Advisors. Despite recent price fluctuations, Lee remains optimistic about the long-term prospects of the cryptocurrency.
In an interview with CNBC, Lee acknowledged the possibility of a short-term correction but emphasized that such volatility is common for Bitcoin.
Lee noted that Bitcoin has dropped around 15% from its peak but stated that this is a normal correction for an asset as volatile as Bitcoin.
On Tuesday, Bitcoin surged more than 2%, trading around $96,555, although it was down from the all-time high reached in December.
Lee highlighted the importance of support levels, with $70,000 serving as a critical threshold. He explained that if Bitcoin falls below this level, the price could test $50,000.
However, despite the short-term price fluctuations, Lee remains confident about Bitcoin's future, projecting that the price could reach between $200,000 and $250,000 by the end of 2025.
With the current price around $90,000, Lee called it a "good entry point" for long-term investors.
"I don’t think anyone would lose if they bought at $90,000. If they try to time the market, they might be lucky if the price goes up to $70,000," Lee added.
Lee remains confident that Bitcoin will be one of the top-performing assets in 2025 and reiterated his belief in the cryptocurrency's long-term performance.
