BitMine Buys $113 Million Worth of Ethereum, Total Holdings Surpass 3.3 Million ETH
BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) a former crypto mining company that has evolved into a digital asset investment institution  has reportedly purchased approximately 27,316 Ethereum (ETH) worth $113 million in a single large-scale transaction through BitGo, a major digital asset custodian platform. The report first surfaced from on-chain data analyzed by Lookonchain and Arkham Intelligence, as cited by Cryptonews and CoinMarketCap. Although BitMine has not issued an official confirmation, the transaction pattern aligns with the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its exposure to leading crypto assets, particularly Ethereum.

BitMine’s ETH Holdings Exceed 3.3 Million Coins
The purchase of 27,316 ETH has pushed BitMine’s total Ethereum holdings to over 3.3 million ETH, with an estimated market value exceeding $13 billion, based on the current ETH price hovering around $4,000. According to CoinMarketCap data, the company aims to control around 5% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply, equivalent to roughly 6.2 million coins.

Accumulation Strategy and Long-Term Vision
This significant acquisition reinforces BitMine’s position as one of the largest institutional holders of Ethereum globally. The company views Ethereum as a long-term strategic asset, supported by the increasing institutional adoption of its blockchain network. Additionally, the growing inflows into ETH-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and continued large-scale purchases by whales further strengthen market confidence in Ethereum’s long-term outlook.

BitMine’s massive accumulation could potentially reduce the active circulating supply of ETH, creating a “supply lock” effect that may ease selling pressure and support future price appreciation. However, analysts caution that such positive effects are unlikely to materialize immediately, as macroeconomic conditions, monetary policy shifts, and crypto regulatory developments remain dominant external factors.

This purchase also comes amid a technical rebound, where ETH prices have shown signs of recovery from strong support zones, as reported by Pintu.co.id and InvestX.

Institutional Confidence and Market Implications. BitMine’s $113 million Ethereum accumulation sends a strong signal that institutions are beginning to position Ethereum as a core asset, rather than merely a speculative instrument.

With holdings now exceeding 3.3 million ETH and a target of reaching 5% of total circulating supply, BitMine solidifies its role as a key institutional player within the Ethereum ecosystem. For market participants and crypto content creators, this event serves as a concrete example of how large institutions build positions through accumulation strategies, while also providing valuable insights for on-chain supply-demand analysis, institutional behavior tracking, and the long-term dynamics of digital asset adoption and pricing.
