Mysticeti V2: A New Consensus for Faster Transactions

One of the most significant updates is Mysticeti V2, a new consensus mechanism designed to accelerate transaction processing. By reducing cryptographic operations and minimizing validator communication, Mysticeti V2 promises faster transactions and higher throughput.

Remora: A Horizontal Scalability Solution

To further enhance processing capacity, Sui introduces Remora, a horizontal scalability solution that distributes validator workloads across multiple machines. Tests indicate that Remora can handle hundreds of thousands of transactions per second, all while maintaining low costs as the network grows.

To enable real-time applications such as gaming and payments, Sui has developed Programmable Peer-to-Peer Tunnels, eliminating latency and increasing throughput.
