PT Soho Global Health Tbk. (SOHO) has officially appointed former Minister of Transportation Ignasius Jonan as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner. The decision was made based on the resolution of the Company’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held on February 23, 2026.
According to the disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Ignasius Jonan replaces Eng Liang Tan, who previously served as SOHO’s President Commissioner. Eng Liang Tan has now assumed a new role as Commissioner of the Company.
Management stated that it approved the honorable dismissal of Eng Liang Tan from his position as President Commissioner effective at the close of the EGMS on February 23, 2026. With this decision, the Company granted full release and discharge (acquit et de charge) to Eng Liang Tan for all management and supervisory actions carried out, insofar as these are reflected in the Company’s financial statements and do not constitute criminal acts or legal violations.
Management emphasized that the change in the composition of the Board of Commissioners does not have any material impact on the Company’s operational activities, legal matters, financial condition, or business continuity.

Ignasius Jonan is widely recognized for his extensive experience in the business sector. The Indonesian national, born in 1963, also serves on the boards of several other companies, including as Independent Commissioner at PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR), Independent Commissioner at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk., Chairman and Independent Commissioner at PT Anabatic Technologies Tbk., and Chairman of Marsh Indonesia.
In terms of education, Jonan earned a Doctorandus degree in Accounting from Universitas Airlangga and later pursued further studies at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in International Relations and Affairs, where he obtained a Master of Arts degree.
Throughout his career, Jonan has held various key positions, including Director at Citigroup Private Equity (1999–2001), Chief Executive Officer of PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (2001–2006), Managing Director at Citigroup Investment Banking (2006–2008), Chief Executive Officer of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (2009–2014), Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia (2014–2016), and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (2016–2019).
