The Temporary Direct Cash Assistance Program (BLTS) worth more than IDR 30 trillion has officially begun distribution to 35.04 million Beneficiary Families (KPM).

Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, emphasized the importance of coordination with local governments to ensure the assistance is distributed accurately and reaches the rightful recipients. Since the data is dynamic, local governments must conduct on-site verification (ground checks) to confirm that beneficiaries meet the required criteria.

“We are ready to start the distribution process, but we must coordinate to ensure that this aid is received by those who qualify — namely individuals in deciles 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the National Socio-Economic Single Data. God willing, starting today, the data can be accessed through the SIKS-NG application prepared by Pusdatin,” said Gus Ipul in an official statement on Wednesday (October 21, 2025).

In addition to local governments, Gus Ipul stated that social facilitators and community pillars will also be involved in conducting education, guidance, and socialization for the beneficiary families regarding the BLTS program.

“They will assist to ensure that the aid is used as intended. They are also expected to report any issues encountered in their respective areas during the BLTS distribution. Essentially, this process is also an opportunity for field verification so that we can understand the real conditions of the beneficiaries. We hope everyone involved can form one unified and integrated system,” Gus Ipul asserted.

He further explained that the purpose of BLTS is to maintain people’s purchasing power and stimulate national economic growth, specifically targeting families in deciles 1–4 of the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN).

Gus Ipul elaborated that BLTS beneficiaries consist of more than 20.8 million regular social assistance recipients and over 14 million new recipients who had not previously been included in regular assistance programs. The disbursement will take place in the fourth quarter, using two mechanisms: regular beneficiaries will receive funds through state-owned Himbara banks, while new recipients will receive their payments via PT Pos Indonesia, as they do not yet have bank accounts.

“This applies to new KPMs who don’t have bank accounts,” explained Gus Ipul.

Each recipient will receive IDR 300,000 per month for October, November, and December, paid in a single installment totaling IDR 900,000. Consequently, regular beneficiaries will receive IDR 1.5 million in total, while new recipients will receive IDR 900,000 after data verification. “We will submit this data to regional and city governments. Our goal is to complete the verification process within five days,” he added.

The verification process is targeted to finish within five days. “We are racing against time, and once the data is verified, it will immediately be forwarded to PT Pos Indonesia for prompt distribution. As directed by President Joko Widodo, the aid must be delivered as soon as possible,” he stated.

Meanwhile, distribution for regular beneficiaries through Himbara banks has already begun gradually since Monday (October 20, 2025).
