President Prabowo Subianto Asserts He Will Remove Cabinet Members Who Don't Serve the People

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that he will remove cabinet members who do not genuinely work for the people’s interests. This statement was made in response to questions about the possibility of a reshuffle of the Red and White Cabinet following his first 100 days in office.

"We want the people to demand a clean government that works properly. I want to enforce that," Prabowo said after attending the 102nd anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (Feb 5).

Prabowo further stressed that the government’s only interest is for the nation and the people, adding, "Those who don’t want to work for the people, I will remove them."

However, Prabowo did not provide a clear answer regarding whether a reshuffle will take place soon.

Taking Action Against Defiant Officials

In the same speech, Prabowo also mentioned that he had already warned repeatedly during his first 100 days in office and stated that he would take action against anyone who remains stubborn despite the warnings.

"I’ve warned many times. Now, those who are stubborn, who refuse to follow the proper course, I will take action," Prabowo, who also serves as the Chairman of the Gerindra Party, said.

Warning to Government Officials

Moreover, Prabowo issued a stern warning for all government officials to cleanse themselves before they are cleansed. He emphasized that anyone who is disloyal or hinders policies intended to help the people will face consequences.

"If you are disloyal, if you obstruct policies meant to help the people of Indonesia, I will take action against you," Prabowo concluded.
