Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa claimed that the placement of Rp 200 trillion in state funds within state-owned banks (BUMN) has had a positive impact on Indonesia’s economy.

According to Purbaya, this impact is reflected in the public’s perception, as people now see economic conditions improving.

“Yes, the results are already visible. The improvement in public sentiment stems mainly from the fact that their economic situation has gotten better. People are beginning to see hope that the economy will perform better in the future,” he said at the Ministry of Finance Office in Jakarta, on Monday (October 27, 2025).

“So when people are asked about their view of the government’s performance, their confidence and assessment have increased very significantly compared to September,” Purbaya continued.

He further revealed plans to increase the amount of government funds placed in state-owned banks, with the goal of stimulating economic activity and ensuring smoother money circulation in society.

“If there’s still a shortage of funds, I’ll transfer more into the banking system so that the economy continues to move. Don’t worry — I still have plenty of tools to use,” he asserted.

Purbaya added that the decision to place state funds in BUMN banks came directly from President Prabowo Subianto, whose clear instruction was to accelerate economic growth.

“All of this is based on President Prabowo’s firm directive. He told me, ‘Fix it, Pur! Get it done, Pur!’ So we’re simply carrying out the President’s orders,” said Purbaya.
