The index also set multiple new records during the year.

IDX President Director Iman Rachman stated that the exchange’s all-time high was achieved on December 8, 2025, when the JCI reached 8,711. He also noted that total market capitalization had surpassed Rp16,000 trillion. According to Iman, the JCI recorded 24 all-time highs throughout the year, reflecting the collective efforts of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), self-regulatory organizations, the exchange, and all capital market stakeholders.

However, despite its strong performance, the JCI failed to reach the widely anticipated 9,000 level. Earlier, Indonesian Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa had expressed optimism that the index could surpass 9,000 by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, citing solid market fundamentals and the index’s continued stability around the psychological 8,000 level.
