TON and Chainlink Labs Form Strategic Partnership: Telegram Drives Global Web3 Ecosystem Expansion

A blockchain network closely associated with the messaging platform Telegram  has officially announced a strategic partnership with Chainlink Labs, a leading provider of oracle infrastructure and cross-chain interoperability solutions.

Through this collaboration, Toncoin will now be usable as a cross-chain asset, while Telegram leverages the momentum to expand its Web3 ecosystem to more than 900 million users worldwide.

Cross-Chain Integration and Interoperability, Chainlink will integrate its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Data Streams services into the TON network, enabling secure transfers of Toncoin across more than 60 interconnected blockchain networks.

By adopting the Cross-Chain Token Standard (CCT), Toncoin can now move permissionlessly and directly within the CCIP ecosystem, eliminating the need for traditional bridging mechanisms, which are often associated with security vulnerabilities.

Strengthening TON’s DeFi Infrastructure. In addition, the integration of Chainlink’s Data Streams will provide low-latency, real-time price feeds, supporting a range of DeFi  applications on the TON network  including lending platforms, derivatives trading, and yield farming protocols.

With its massive user base, Telegram serves as a key gateway for retail users and developers to access the Web3 ecosystem without leaving the familiar messaging app they already use daily.

Strategic Impact and Broader Vision. This collaboration marks a major milestone for TON and Telegram in realizing their blockchain-based “super-app” vision, integrating communication, financial transactions, and digital services into a unified ecosystem. As Toncoin becomes increasingly interoperable, Telegram users will be able to send, swap, and utilize digital assets seamlessly across major blockchain networks directly within the app.
