On the first trading day of September, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed in negative territory, pressured by ongoing public demonstrations. The index dropped 1.21% or fell by 94.42 points to 7,736.07 in Monday's session (9/1/2025).

Transaction value reached IDR 23.51 trillion, with 38.77 billion shares changing hands through 2.31 million trades. Of these, 539 stocks declined, 171 advanced, and 99 remained unchanged.

Another recorded transaction value amounted to IDR 16.63 trillion, involving 44.48 billion shares exchanged in 2.08 million trades. In this session, 377 stocks rose, 288 declined, and 99 stayed flat.

Foreign investors posted a massive net sell of IDR 2.16 trillion across all markets. Of this total, IDR 2.14 trillion came from the regular market, while IDR 14.80 billion was from negotiated and cash markets.

Nevertheless, several stocks became top picks for foreign investors, helping to offset pressure on the IHSG’s performance. According to Stockbit, here are the net foreign buys from Monday’s session:
