Malaysia's automotive industry continues to advance significantly with its national vehicles. After reportedly surpassing Indonesia in sales, the country is now preparing to unveil a supercar comparable to Ferrari.
According to Paultan, Thursday (July 28, 2025), the supercar is being developed by Bufori Motor Car Company, headquartered in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. Named Bufori CS8, the vehicle is the result of a collaboration between Malaysia and Australia.
The development of the CS8 has been underway for several years with substantial upgrades. The model, reportedly ready for mass production, features larger dimensions and a design reminiscent of the Toyota Supra A90.
Bufori confirmed that the mass-production version has a wheelbase extended by 350 mm compared to its prototype. The longer rear overhang further enhances its overall proportions.
As a true supercar, the Bufori CS8 comes equipped with a 6.4-liter supercharged V8 Hemi-based engine with forged internals. It delivers 810 hp and a peak torque of 973 Nm, sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission with LSD.
The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just three seconds and can reach a top speed of 330 km/h. This performance places the Bufori CS8 on par with European supercars such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
The vehicle made its first appearance during a track day hosted by Affin Bank at Sepang Circuit last week, still wearing camouflage stickers that conceal its final design.
Interestingly, its rear lights resemble those of the Nissan GT-R, featuring a distinctive round shape. Meanwhile, the long front hood signals that this supercar houses a massive engine built for extreme power.
