Speculations about MIOS emerged alongside a screenshot displaying the user interface of a Xiaomi smartphone. However, recently, Xiaomi's CEO and founder, Lei Jun, announced that Xiaomi HyperOS will soon be introduced in one of their own smartphone products.

According to reports from GSM Arena, Xiaomi HyperOS will debut with the Xiaomi 14 series. This latest phone is expected to be unveiled during Qualcomm's annual Snapdragon Summit, rumored to take place later this month.

Nevertheless, information circulating suggests that Xiaomi HyperOS will gradually be introduced to earlier Xiaomi phone versions, although there is no precise data regarding which series or variants will receive support for this new operating system.

Xiaomi HyperOS will not merely serve as a phone operating system; it will also become an ecosystem linking various Xiaomi IoT products, spanning from household appliances to Xiaomi's electric vehicles.

Lei Jun revealed on the Weibo social media platform that the development of Xiaomi HyperOS began in 2014 when the IoT ecosystem started gaining popularity. This operating system was designed to support an array of IoT devices and applications.

Xiaomi has an ambitious plan to connect more than 10 billion devices in the future, with the Xiaomi 14 series being among the first to implement this integration.

Currently, several brands have developed their own operating systems while still using Android as their foundation. However, none have provided as comprehensive an integrated ecosystem with their IoT products.

Xiaomi 14 will be the world's first phone to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which has led to speculations that this phone will be announced on October 27, 2023, one day after the Snapdragon Summit event in Hawaii, USA.
