Tether and Bitfinex Transfer IDR 63.7 Trillion Worth of Bitcoin to Twenty One Capital
Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, along with its affiliate Bitfinex, has recently transferred over 37,000 Bitcoin (BTC), valued at approximately USD 3.9 billion or IDR 63.7 trillion, to Twenty One Capital—a Bitcoin-focused financial firm led by Strike CEO Jack Mallers.

Details of the Massive Transaction

According to a report by Cointelegraph, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the transfer was carried out in several large tranches, including:

  • 10,500 BTC (approximately USD 1.1 billion) sent to an address associated with SoftBank’s investment in Twenty One Capital.

  • 917 BTC (around USD 96 million) transferred to a conversion investor wallet that holds equity rights in the project.

  • 25,812 BTC (about USD 2.7 billion), comprising contributions of 7,000 BTC from Bitfinex, 14,000 BTC from Tether, and 4,812 BTC used as seed capital for equity fundraising.

Strategic Move and IPO Plans

Twenty One Capital aims to build a fully Bitcoin-integrated capital markets infrastructure. The planned services include digital asset-based lending, crypto asset custody, and blockchain-based financial instrument issuance.

The company is expected to go public through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners, with a projected valuation of USD 3.6 billion.

CEO Jack Mallers stated, “Our mission is crystal clear: to become the most successful company in the Bitcoin space—the most valuable financial opportunity of the modern era.”

Industry Impact and Market Position

With over 42,000 BTC in holdings, Twenty One Capital now ranks as the third-largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally, behind only Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) and MARA Holdings.

This move reinforces the growing trend of institutional adoption of Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset and as a foundational element of the future blockchain-based financial system.
