The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) is projected to weaken in Tuesday’s trading session (May 5, 2026). So, which stocks are recommended?
According to BNI Sekuritas, although the IHSG closed up 0.22%, it was still accompanied by foreign net selling amounting to Rp791 billion. The stocks most heavily sold by foreign investors included BMRI, BBCA, BUMI, BRMS, and ASII.
“The IHSG has the potential to undergo another correction today,” said Head of Retail Research at BNI Sekuritas, Fanny Suherman.
She explained that the index is expected to move within a support range of 6,850–6,900 and a resistance range of 7,000–7,090 during Tuesday’s trading.
Research from Kiwoom Sekuritas Indonesia indicates that technically, any rebound attempt still needs to test the nearest resistance level above the psychological threshold of 7,000. This position is considered highly speculative, requiring confirmation from the next green candle and dominant buying volume to validate an early bullish reversal.
Stock Recommendations
For today, Fanny recommends shares of PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk, PT Indika Energy Tbk, and PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk.
Today’s trading ideas include CDIA, AKRA, INDY, ENRG, BULL, and MEDC.
CDIA is recommended for buy on weakness at 1,000–1,050, with a stop loss below 1,000 and a short-term target of 1,070–1,100.
AKRA is recommended for buy on weakness at 1,530–1,550, with a stop loss below 1,520 and a target of 1,600–1,660.
INDY is suggested as a speculative buy at 3,650–3,700, with a stop loss below 3,640 and a target of 3,720–3,770.
ENRG is suggested as a speculative buy at 1,680–1,710, with a stop loss below 1,670 and a target of 1,735–1,760.
BULL is recommended for buy on weakness at 490–505, with a stop loss below 486 and a target of 520–535.
