Elon Musk has announced his intention to donate $1 billion, equivalent to approximately 16 trillion Indonesian Rupiah, to Wikipedia if they agree to change their name. However, the world's wealthiest individual has suggested a new name with a rather cheeky connotation.

"I will give them $1 billion if they change their name to 'Dickipedia,'" Elon Musk wrote on X.com or Twitter on Sunday, October 22nd. Elon Musk emphasized that the name change is in pursuit of accuracy.

This tweet prompted a response from the journalist Ed Krassenstein, who urged Wikipedia to consider the name change, saying, "@Wikipedia, give it a try. You can always change it back after getting the money."

The world's richest person went on to specify that Wikipedia must maintain the name for at least one year to qualify for the $1 billion donation. He humorously remarked, "At least one year. I'm not that gullible, hahaha," Elon Musk said.

On the same day, the owner of X.com or Twitter expressed curiosity about why Wikipedia solicits such a substantial sum from its readers, though he did not provide further details.

"Have you ever wondered why the Wikimedia Foundation wants so much money?" Elon Musk inquired. "Certainly, it is not necessary to operate Wikipedia. You can download a copy of the entire text to your phone! So, what's the money for?" Elon added.

Notably, Elon Musk recently faced criticism from Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales for allegedly censoring individuals critical of Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan. Musk's actions were seen as not supporting freedom of expression.
