DIGIVESTASI - Secretary General of the Islands Capital City Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono is targeting an investment of IDR 100 trillion in IKN by 2024. This figure includes the construction of public facilities to date, including four hospitals, six hotels, and four shopping centers.

Bambang said investments made since 2023 now total Rp47.5 trillion, consisting of Rp35.9 trillion from the private sector and Rp11.6 trillion from the government. Including the groundbreaking, Bambang Susantono said in a written statement received on Saturday (January 27, 2024).

The National Capital Authority (OIKN) is currently hosting Pekan Raya Nusantara 2024 in Jakarta which will run until Sunday (January 28, 2024). This activity is an effort to bring IKN closer to the community and attract new investors to achieve its goals. Shopping malls were chosen because they are crowded and attract attention. Mr. Bambang believes that many stakeholders will find out how profitable it is to invest in IKN. "We also want to publicize the development of IKN," said Bambang.

He also hopes that the wider community can play a role in socializing the objectives of IKN development, one of which is to encourage equitable economic growth throughout the country. IKN will grow into a world-class city and experience new growth, especially in the central and eastern regions of Indonesia. "Therefore, the essence of IKN development, namely the transformation of Indonesia's future development, can be understood by the public." "The transformation of Indonesia's future development can be realized through the development of IKN," Bambang said.

The enthusiasm of the banking industry is reflected in the development of IKN. One of them, PT Bank Mandiri, also plans to start construction of a physical office building in the IKN core area in the near future, Bambang said. "We have said that Bank Mandiri will do the groundbreaking," Bambang added. Responding to this, Deputy General Manager of Bank Mandiri Alexandra Askander simultaneously said that the party's move was a form of support for the development of IKN.

The party is currently issuing electronic money using IKN images. Later, he said, people can find information related to IKN through various communication and information channels in digital and offline spaces. "We have also developed an IKN version of e-money, with the aim of introducing IKN to a wider community," said Alexandra.
