Throughout last week, Indonesia’s stock market experienced a notable decline. The benchmark Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) fell by 3.61% over the week, closing at 6,907.138, down from the previous week's level of 7,166.065.
The total market capitalization of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) also declined by 3.17%, dropping from IDR 12,495 trillion to IDR 12,099 trillion compared to the previous week.
In addition, the average daily transaction value on the IDX decreased by 7.63%, falling from IDR 16.24 trillion to IDR 15.01 trillion. Similarly, the average daily trading frequency dropped by 8.15%, from 1.42 million transactions to 1.31 million transactions over the same period.
Regarding trade volume, the average daily transaction volume also recorded a sharp decrease of 13%, slipping from 28.05 billion shares to 24.41 billion shares compared to the prior week.
Foreign investors booked a net sell of IDR 2.73 trillion at the end of last week. Cumulatively, foreign investors have posted a total net sell of IDR 53.10 trillion throughout 2025.
