IHSG Tests 6,700 Support Level, Phintraco Sekuritas Highlights Five Potential Stocks

Phintraco Sekuritas projects that the Indonesia Stock Exchange Composite Index (IHSG) will test the psychological support level of 6,700 on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The index is expected to move within a resistance range of 6,800, a pivot of 6,750, and support at 6,700.

IHSG Faces Potential Decline, SIDO Among Top Stock Picks

On Monday (February 24, 2025), IHSG closed lower by 0.78%, settling at 6,749.6 after failing to break through the dynamic resistance of the MA5, which was positioned around 6,800.

“With this condition, IHSG remains vulnerable to further weakness and may test the psychological support level of 6,700,” stated Phintraco Sekuritas in its latest research report.

Despite the market downturn, Phintraco Sekuritas recommends five promising stocks, with SIDO being one of the key picks.

Market Reacts to Danantara’s Launch

Domestically, investors are still analyzing the launch of Danantara on February 24, 2025. According to Phintraco Sekuritas, this initiative is expected to allow state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) to focus more on expansion and operational efficiency. Additionally, the consolidation may enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage.

However, investors are also evaluating the independence and transparency of Danantara's operations.

Market Focus on Germany’s GDP Data

On the international front, market attention will shift to Germany, which is set to release its Q4 2024 GDP data. While some improvement is expected, the economy remains in contraction.

Phintraco Sekuritas forecasts that Germany’s economic growth will be at -0.2% YoY, an improvement from the previous quarter’s -0.3% YoY.

“The contraction in Q4 2024 marks seven consecutive quarters without growth, following a 0.3% decline in Q3 2024,” noted Phintraco Sekuritas.
