DIGIVESTASI - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher on the last trading day of 2024, Monday (30/12/2024). IHSG rose by 43.33 points or 0.62% to a level of 7,079.9.

However, the IHSG recorded a decrease of 3.33% throughout 2024. Despite this, a number of stocks saw significant price increases, reaching up to 4,360% over the year, with KARW topping the list.

At the close of the last trading day of 2024, 338 stocks recorded gains, 251 stocks declined, and 210 stocks remained stagnant. The total transaction value on the Indonesia Stock Exchange today reached IDR 12.39 trillion, with a trading volume of 26.27 billion shares and 1,009,286 transactions.

Most stock sectors strengthened by the end of trading, with the technology sector posting the largest gain of 3%. The primary consumer goods sector rose by 2.2%, the industrial sector strengthened by 1.6%, the non-primary consumer goods sector increased by 1.6%, and the basic materials sector rose by 1.2%. On the other hand, the financial sector recorded a decline of 0.2%.

Meanwhile, while the IHSG strengthened, Asian stock indices showed mixed movements. Shanghai (China) rose by 0.2% and Straits Times (Singapore) increased by 0.6%. Conversely, Hang Seng (Hong Kong) fell by 0.2%, and Nikkei (Japan) weakened by 0.9%.

At the same time the IHSG strengthened at the end of the year, several stocks experienced massive price jumps ranging from 500% to 4,360% and entered the list of top gainers in 2024.

Shares of PT Meratus Jasa Prima Tbk (KARW) led the top gainers list with a 4,360% price surge over the year, from IDR 51 to IDR 2,230. This was followed by shares of PT Fortune Indonesia Tbk (FORU), which soared by 2,670% to IDR 3,740; PT Solusi Kemasan Digital Tbk (PACK), which surged 1,608% to IDR 615; PT Techno9 Indonesia Tbk (NINE), which jumped 1,333% to IDR 129; and PT Multipolar Technology Tbk (MLPT), which rose 1,078% to IDR 18,500.

Other stocks that recorded significant gains include PT Geoprima Solusi Tbk (GPSO) with an increase of 895.9% to IDR 1,225; PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (SRAJ), which rose 686.6% to IDR 2,360; PT Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional Tbk (JSPT), which increased 650% to IDR 9,725; PT Klinko Karya Imaji Tbk (KLIN), which strengthened 575% to IDR 189; and PT Green Power Group Tbk (LABA), which rose 500% to IDR 300.
