DIGIVESTASI - Artificial intelligence (AI) will continue to develop. However, it is estimated that superior or intelligent scores can only be achieved within 10 years. The prediction was made by the boss of Chinese tech giant Robin Li. His comments differ from two other tech figures, Elon Musk and Sam Altman, boss of OpenAI, about general artificial intelligence or AGI.

Both predict AGI will grow in the near future. In fact, according to Musk, this will happen in 2026. “AGI is still a few years away. Now a lot of people talk about AGI and say... maybe in two years, maybe in five years. I think in more than 10 years,” Li said, as quoted by CNBC International, Thursday. Six. (October 24, 2024).

He believes that the current AGI model is still not as smart as humans. However, Li did not explain further how to reach that level. “And how to get there? We don't know,” he said.
In the past two years, the development of AI has been quite rapid. Based on the popularity of ChatGPT created by OpenAI, it has continued to grow and several other tech companies have started to develop AI.

Baidu is also participating in the wave of AI development. Last year, the company launched its own chatbot with a large language model called Ernie.
However, Li said the progress is still very slow. His concern is that AI will not develop quickly.

“Everyone is surprised by the rapid development of technology in recent years, but for me it's still not fast enough. It's too late,” Li said.
