Elon Musk continues to hold the title of the world’s richest person as of mid-June 2025. However, an interesting shift occurred right below him on the list.

In the global billionaire rankings for mid-June 2025, Larry Ellison has further solidified his position in second place.

Despite a decline in his net worth, Elon Musk remains at the top of the list of the wealthiest individuals.

According to Forbes data as of June 15, 2025, Musk's fortune stands at approximately US$ 410.8 billion, a decrease from US$ 423 billion recorded at the beginning of June.

Musk’s net worth has taken a hit since his resignation from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a body established by U.S. President Donald Trump to enhance the federal government's IT efficiency.

In contrast, Larry Ellison’s wealth has surged significantly, strengthening his position as the second richest person globally.

The Chief Technology Officer of Oracle Corporation now holds a fortune of US$ 258.8 billion, a sharp increase from US$ 206 billion on June 1, 2025.

Ellison has overtaken Mark Zuckerberg, who had been consistently holding second place. The Meta Platforms CEO’s wealth is now around US$ 235.7 billion, up from US$ 224 billion at the start of the month.

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and Blue Origin and owner of The Washington Post, remains in fourth place, even as his net worth rose from US$ 220 billion to US$ 226.8 billion over the two-week period.

A new name also appears in this month’s top ten richest individuals: Jensen Huang, President and CEO of Nvidia Corporation.

Huang now ranks tenth with a net worth of US$ 123.9 billion, a slight dip from US$ 124 billion earlier this month.

Huang's entry into the list pushed out Amancio Ortega, the head of Zara’s clothing and accessories empire, who has now fallen to eleventh place.
