IHSG Closes Slightly Higher as Foreign Investors Continue Selling

Jakarta – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) edged up slightly on Wednesday’s trading session (February 26, 2025), closing 0.29% higher at 6,606.17. The total transaction value reached Rp10.85 trillion, with a trading volume of 19.14 billion shares across 1.07 million transactions. By the end of the session, 238 stocks advanced, 359 declined, and 193 remained unchanged.

 

Despite the modest gain, selling pressure remained strong in the market. In the first two days of the week, foreign investors recorded continued net selling, with Rp3.47 trillion sold on Monday (February 24) and Rp1.6 trillion on Tuesday (February 25). This selling trend reflects lingering concerns over Indonesia's stock market.

 

On Wednesday (February 26), foreign investors posted another net sell of Rp323.56 billion across all markets. However, in negotiated and cash markets, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp360.11 billion.

 

BBCA Records Highest Net Sell

Among the stocks sold by foreign investors, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) experienced the highest net sell at Rp433.67 billion. Following closely were PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) with Rp157.46 billion and PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk. (AMRT) with Rp42.05 billion.
