United States President Donald Trump has officially entered the telecommunications business with the launch of a mobile brand called Trump Mobile. The announcement included two main products: a smartphone called the T1 Phone and a mobile data package named ‘The 47 Plan’.

Trump Mobile is part of The Trump Organization, which is currently managed by Trump’s two eldest sons, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump. The existence of Trump Mobile began to surface after The Trump Organization filed trademark registrations for the names ‘Trump’ and ‘T1’ related to telecommunications services.

In an official statement, Trump Mobile described the T1 Phone as a device both designed and manufactured in the United States. Photos displayed on the Trump Mobile website show a gold-colored phone featuring the ‘T1’ logo and an American flag on the back panel.

The Trump Mobile website offers limited details regarding the T1 Phone's technical specifications. The phone is claimed to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole design that houses a 16MP front-facing camera.

The device is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. However, the type of chipset used in the phone has not been disclosed. It has a 5,000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.

On the back, the phone features a triple-camera setup resembling the Pro versions of the iPhone. The configuration includes a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The T1 Phone comes with a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs on the Android 15 operating system, according to a report by The Verge published Wednesday (June 18, 2025).

The T1 Phone is priced at USD 499, which is approximately IDR 8.1 million. The device is expected to be available starting in August or September 2025, although there is inconsistency between the press release and the Trump Mobile website regarding the exact release date.

In addition to the smartphone, Trump Mobile has launched a mobile plan called ‘The 47 Plan’. This plan is priced at USD 47.45 (around IDR 772,000) per month, a symbolic figure as Trump is the 45th president of the United States and is aiming to become the 47th.

The plan includes unlimited calls, text messages, and data, with a fair usage policy (FUP) cap of 20GB per month. Subscribers also gain access to roadside assistance services through Drive America and 24/7 telehealth support.

Trump Mobile operates through a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) called Liberty Mobile, which runs on T-Mobile’s infrastructure. Customers can use Trump Mobile SIM cards in their own devices or opt to use them directly with the T1 Phone.
